Missio Dei Camping Trip

Sunday morning. 62 degrees. Camping with six month old twins, a e
10 year old, 8 and 4 yr old in a tent. At least it was made for ten. This has been an enjoyable time. I have learned thqt I need MUCH bigger things. MUST carry matches or lighter, need full size fridge forempty legged children, and fan. Most of the family is a sleep. Bryn is rolling around the air mattress. Deana hit the showers. Pastor paul and issaac are awake. A few birds and faint din of traffic inthe distance.

Yesterdays nap time.

I put a post together yesterday while Deana was out with the older three kids. I stayed home Friday to oh and ah.
Brent is rolling over onto his belly and back. Saturday, I must have bored both of them. Brent fell asleep. Bryn falls asleep shortly after this picture.
They are marvlous. To watch them grow together gives me a better perspective on God's creation.
Sorry for delay andlack of attention to the blog. I promise to do better this month.

Missio Dei Launch

Well, God's got great plans for everyone. Deana and I have been part of the launch team (to the extent that we've been able to help) for Missio Dei church. www.Mdchurch.us

Please pray for us, the church and those involved. The church's first dress rehersal (for corporate worship) was Sunday.
The turnout exceded my expectations. But then, when does God's mission not exceed my simple expectations.

Two Month Checkup

The twins have survived their two month checkup. Brent is 9 lbs 11oz and is 20 inches long. Bryn is 9 lbs 10oz and 21.5 inches long. (Scary to think, this just should have been their two week checkup). Brent has the bigger head, but Bryn has the long legs!

Big brother.

Blake is feeding his younger brother. Its has been cold here in chicago. We finally have a few inches of snow. I have the itch to go downhill skiing back at my upstate ny haunt- Snow ridge. Back when I was skiing, snowridge boasted on no snow making equipment. This week, I am sure they have six plus feet. I need to check their site.
I just don't know how I would get to ny, or where in this flat midwest can I take the family skiing?

Technical difficulties...it appears that we stuck a wheel. Connors car came in 6th with assistance from the judges to finish the car.

My oldest kids...Cub Scouts Annual Pinewood Derby!

Today is the pinewood derby. Blake and Connor entered with differnt designs today. Both weight in just under the weight. Dad didn't enter this year after a DNF with his award winning twenty year old car.

I'll update the results later.

Doctor Updates

Brent and Bryn visited the Doctor's office today to get the RSV shot.

Bryn now weighs 6 lbs 15 oz.

Brent now weights 7 lbs 3 oz. (he is still shorter than his sister)
